Top 2 with Jordan as we speak.

No way any other player that has played comes close to the skill level LeBron brings to the table. Guy leaves Cleveland? They go to shite and win lotteries. He leaves Miami? They go to shite. Not as bad as Cleveland, but still shite nonetheless.

Lebron's size, speed, quickness, ball-handles, ability to make the entire organization better from top to bottom--not just those on the court, is unmatched outside Jordan.

You hit on Lebron's failures from his past--that was spot on, but he has erased those demons the past two years.

He is elevating his game and playing like the last true alpha-dog you may see in the NBA until another phenom arises one day soon.

The point is that he didn't win when Jordan was with the Bulls

How many times did Jordan knock Shaq out of the playoffs? Kinda hard to say he kept Shaq from winning...

OK for anyone who wants to put him #1 all time. Where does he surpass Jordan? Better leader-No, Better-scorer-No, better defense-No, better heart-No, more skilled-No, better shooter-No, played against better competition-No, better records-No. He has better apg and rpg, what else, maybe I am forgetting something.

I was not a Laker fan at all...but you really need to educate yourself on Magic.

Magic was fantastic, probably #3 overall. There is no logical discussion centered around Magic being better LeBron.

Best I can remember is Magic beat Bulls in 95. Bulls beat Magic in 96 and I don't remember them playing after that. But if the Magic/Lakers didn't meet the Bulls in the playoffs the following years that means they weren't good enough.

Didn't you hear. Perfection is a thing of the past and it is actually looked down on these days. Being a lovable loser is now celebrated as everyone gets a participation ribbon. LeBron is going to lose his 5th NBA championship series this season and god love him for these failures. GOAT!

1. Intangible show up in the production/efficiency

2. Looking at their production/efficiency shows you that the 2 are virtually even, it's splitting hairs.

Jordan, Magic, Bird, Kobe...and a lot of others....never wore a fricking safety pin.

JUST SAYING.

Bird was so pissed after a loss to the Lakers, he called out his teammates for "playing like a bunch of women."

And the Celtics won the next game and series.

Lebron has potential...but a lot left to prove to even sniff MJs jock strap.

Biggio, you have no idea.

Wilt averaged 50 pts and 25.9 rebounds one season.
And Russell was MVP.

I mean I agree that the safety pin shite was super lame and all, not really sure how that makes LeBron less of a basketball player than anyone though

I am not hating on Lebron, he is really all time great and we won't see another player like him. He is a one of a kind, best all around player of all time.

But compared to Jordan isn't fair. Only Wayne Gretzky may be the only person that dominated all areas of a sport like Jordan did and was unquestionably the best. It's always in discussion who is the best every year lately in the NBA.

Russel was probably the closest to Jordan in terms of desire, hunger, killer mentality.
Not only can you not objectively quantify and compare these things, even if you can we could watch every single play, that wouldn't matter in Russell's case because you couldn't have seen but a fraction of his games anyways.

Besides, whole they're undoubtedly important, they are just another collection of variables that will contribute to what truly matters: performance on the court.

If somehow there was an X-men like mutant with unseen size, ability, and skills who played the game, and had astronomical stats, wins, and championships, but didn't really care about the game so he didn't work hard, he would still be the greatest player of all time.

I had a muffin for breakfast and spilled a little milk on my work suit. JUST SAYING.

My point was just as relevant to this discussion as yours.

Ah yes. THat's MUCH more impressive than putting a team on your back down 3 games to 1 to the most successful regular season of all time only to pull off the comeback on game 7 in the road. But Bird said they played like women, so that trumps beating that 73 win team!!!!

Lebron has been the best player in the NBA for, probably going on darn near 10 seasons now.

but your x-man Lebron, doesn't have the most wins or championships which is the most important factor in determining GOAT. While it isn't the only factor it is the most important.

How come the supposed best player for 10 years only has 3 rings?

If you knew your history it would be B. Russell
