The Cubs and Dodgers meet again tonight in Game 4 of the NLCS. Dodgers have taken the last two, shutting out the Cubs both times, and have a 2-1 series lead. John Lackey (11-8, 3.35) gets the ball tonight opposite Julio Urias (5-2, 3.39). Go Cubs Go!!!!

There is literally no good reason for Heyward to be in the lineup. I'd bet he'll come up in at least one crucial situation tonight.

Let's hope that if comes up in a big spot, he produces.

I mean he did triple in Game 1 which has been better than the rest of the team

no clue. tbh since the cards sucked this year, Heyward going 0-4 while lackey gives up 4+ would make me feel an ounce better. So thanks Joe.

The thing about fun laid back Joe is, he's not a good playoffs coach, never has been.

I don't know about all that but I did have a lot of questions when he took Lester out of Game 1.

He's had some stellar teams the past decade. Only won 1 pennant. I know its "hard to win" in the playoffs, but thats just two rounds.

He homered off Urias earlier this year. That's probably why. Still don't like it. His last two significant ABs in this series were about as bad as it gets for an MLB position player.

If they lose tonight I will not be feeling good at all. They win tonight and its 0-0 all over again

For the fairweather fans probably, but this is a very winnable game tonight.

Winnable? Yes..... Are we going to win... doubtful. The way this offense looks the 20yr old is going to pitch like a veteran Cy young contender. dodgers hitters will bat with the poise/confidence of big papi and the eye of cal Ripken and see tons of pitches to frustrate lackey. The dodgers just look like a group of confident winners and our cubbies are looking like a group of scared losers. This can all change with one swing of the bat but it's looking less and less likely to happen.

Go Cubs Go

Kershaw pitching Game 6

@BNightengale: Clayton Kershaw now pitching bullpen session, which means he will NOT be pitching Game 5, sending him to mound for Game 6 #Dodgers

Maeda pitching Game 5 now.

If the Cubbies can't get a win off Urias or Maeda then they don't deserve to make it to the World Series

I said it in the game thread last night, but the Dodgers are just getting hits when guys are on base. Last night, we had an opportunity, didn't do dick. Their first one, run comes across. Second opportunity, another run comes across. Just no timely hitting (or really, any hitting).
