Alex Smith? Drafted super high for 49ers and had more painful years then good ones and then was benched on super bowl run.

To be fair, once he had a stable coach he played well. SF was ran like a shite-show until harbaugh came along.

Pacman Jones was not a "bust" in Tennessee, but he couldn't stay out of trouble. He's having a nice career in Cincy.

Another Niner, RW McQuarters was dreadful in SF and turned out to be decent when he got picked up by Chicago

Mark Barron was drafted by TB and I believe the Bucs traded him before his rookie deal was up to St. Louis.

He had been doing very well at the hybrid LB/Safety spot for them, but I haven't checked in a good while. Good enough for an extension at least.

Rich Gannon wasn't a high draft pick (4th round) but he was a journeyman till he got to KC. He then went on to have huge success with the Raiders.
