Per multiple sources, the Browns will play before the anthem a pre-produced video in which players express concerns about racial equality in America. The video, roughly 30 seconds in length, includes messages from tackle Joe Thomas, quarterback DeShone Kizer, linebacker Jamie Collins, linebacker Christian Kirksey, and coach Hue Jackson, among others. It closes with tight end Randall Telfer explaining that the flag isn’t about the red, white, and blue fabric but that it’s about what the flag stands for.

Now that's actually really meaningful.

Black people make up ~12% of the US population. Yet, ~70% of the players in the NFL are black. The average NFL player's salary puts them in the top 1% of income earners in this country.

Doesn't the inequality just SCREAM off the page?

I guess no one ever said a "civil rights" crusade HAD to be based in facts and logic?

For the hundredth time...they arent speaking up for themselves. They're speaking up for other people who dont have the platform of being an NFL player.

That may be true, but I think the issue is people go to sports, entertainment, etc to escape life/politics. Not run right back into it.

It's like when you're on this site and someone makes an Obama/Trump or liberal whatever reference in a random thread. It's just annoying.

People just want to shut off for a while.

The NFL has lost sight of reality. It's a shite show and going to get worse.

I will never understand the board's obsession with the anthem shite. Who gives a frick. If no one gave this any attention it would go away

Jamie Collins is the voice of reason this country needs to quell the racial tension

The beauty of this is you won't even see it, and you don't have to pay attention if they spend 1 minute talking about it.

You can just watch the game, just like any other awful Browns game you ever watched.

This is a non-story.
