The NFL's silly taunting penalties are changing the outcome of games for no good reason

The NFL bans violent celebrations like "throat slash" or "machine-gun salute" and apparently that extends to archery.

The taunting penalty is so ridiculous.

A 15 yard penalty for one man taunting another man.

Yet, if it was unbridled throat slashing, many would say that's another reason not to watch.

When you put it like that, it does seem quite petty and juvenile.

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN??

I am all for celebrating and taunting makes no problems with me. However, can the NFL win? It wasn't too long ago a bunch of up tight frickers were saying the following:

"These celebrations are thuggish. They should be kicked off the field"
"Just hand the ball back to the ref"
"Act like you've been there"
"So and so never did that and he was a fine player. Players today just are spoiled and immature"

And on and on and on. I truly believe people will bitch regardless of the NFL rules.

It is to protect the weak millennials, who might not be able to handle the emotional and stress of someone taunting them.
