What gives Seattle the #1 seed over all the other 11-4 teams?

Just looking for a simple answer. Thanks

Conference record.

They lost 2 games to AFC teams.

I think since Dallas is 1-0 against Seattle and Seattle is 1-1 against Green Bay and Dallas, you could make an argument it should come down to that.

But since Dallas and Green Bay didn't play, I guess it's not balanced.

Green Bay lost to Seattle. Dallas went up there and beat them. Kind of sucks for Dallas.

Detroit has the same conference record. What would be next?

Yeah that's what I was thinking, but I read that unless Detroit and Green Bay tie and Arizona and Seattle both lose, Dallas can't get the 1 seed.

W/L of games against common opponents.

Then strength of victory.

Assuming Seattle wins, Dallas can't get a first-round bye unless Detroit and Green Bay tie.

If Detroit and Green Bay tie, then Dallas is the #1 seed.

Yeah the only way head to head matters is if there are only two teams tied and they played in the regular season
