to make it worse, our first game should have been in New Orleans, as NOLA was South #2 and Griffins were Midwest #3. But Midwest and USA Rugby decided to punish the South very harshly as a result of Charlotte quitting the league, leaving us with only 3 teams in South Divsion 1.
As a result, it was ruled that we'd lose the #3 playoff seed, and that the South #2 would have to travel to Midwest #3. (Typically for the crossover playoffs, #1 hosts #4, #2 hosts #3)
The reasoning was that the South D1 is a terrible league with a poor history. Well guess who just placed two teams in the D1 final four? The South. So it's a great sense of satisfaction that not only did we get this far, we did it by knocking off the Chicago Griffins and Metropolis, both Midwestern sacred cows.

not braced up like Chuck anymore, but still rehabbing and not able to play. I've assumed a asst. coach/manager role in the meantime.

Did you notice Tevis in the college game?
The story of this current NOLA RFC side is a great one. The other three final four teams are ex Super League teams and NOLA was d3 a few years ago.
Yes, it speaks volumes about our high school programs. It also speaks volumes about the quality of the men of the Club. NORFC is a great CLUB, from youth to active players to old boys to supporters. That's how you build a champion the right way.
My hat is off to you guys, and as a current board member for my club, I can say that we're pulling for you, even if it's against our friends from Marietta.

Congrats to the team. My cousin is on it so I get to follow them often but it's a shame not many people out of friends and families know about them.
Would love to go cheer them on in Colorado but work gets in the way.
