New Nicholls State mascot logo

Here's the new Nicholls mascot "Colonel Tillou". The old colonel mascot was canned because the NAACP complained about it. They removed all references from the Civil War in it. Check it out.

yeah, my first thought was german too. Couldn't they have just changed the swords colors if it was the gray they were afraid would reference the old rebel uni instead of creating a whole new logo?

It's not bad - reminds me mostly of Providence.
I liked the old Colonel though much Like I enjoyed Colonel Reb.
I understand the objections from the NAACP though and whatever - it's just a mascot at the end of the day.

Yes I think that logo looks very Stalin-ish in a badass kinda way. They are gonna be known as the Nicholls State Russians now
