First time since Al Davis and the Raiders back in 1996 that a NFL franchise has sued the NFL.

Kraft finally showing a little backbone (not much) but a little. He should've done this a year ago.

The Saints could learn a thing or two from the Pats. For NO fans everywhere....I hope the NFL is held accountable for their heavy handed antics.

The Saints should have done the same thing.

We had draft picks stolen for no reason other than to be a poster child for a power hungry Godell.

Good, frick Rodger, we already gave up a million dollars and a first round pick over something that could never be proven in a court of law.

Don't be mad that your ownership just caved to the penalties.

I have no proof, but I believe Kraft is pissed at Godell & the NFL for approving the Rams move to Inglewood. He worked hard behind the scenes to move the Chargers to Carson, and he feels money won out over supporting the longtime owners & loyal Spanos family.

He isn't going to sit quietly for the good of the league when that loyalty doesn't matter.

Kraft already gave up the draft picks and paid the penalty. This brief isn't the Patriots joining Brady's lawsuit, it's just a token gesture meant for one of the team's players.

I would love to know how the rank and file players feel about their union chiefs spending ungodly amount on legal fees.

I completely agree.

I think what happened was Kraft agreed to the penalties thinking Goodell would just slap Brady with an equipment fine. Some of the new school owners hated that idea and pushed Goodell to suspend Brady.

Various interviews and reports paint this as an ownership beef more than a Brady thing.

I am almost positive Brady is picking up the tab.

The job of the union is to represent the member's interests. Those interests generally include not being arbitrarily suspended because Goodell wants to make an example of someone.
