Easy to say when you've got MJ-Pippen and Shaq-Kobe.

Fitting that the Warriors nailed the coffin shut last night with a barrage of 3's. Cavs were like "nice drive and finish Lebron". Warriors were like "3 > 2".

Phil's tweets this year gave a whole lot of support to the "He won because he coached the 2 best combos in NBA history" camp.
If his tweets are any indication of what he actually believes then the game has completely blown past him.

I don't even really understand his stance/argument...at one point, when there were five teams left in the West, they were the top five 3-point-shooting teams in the league this year.
I'm not sure how the teams at/near the top in the east fared with threes, but I remember the discussions (on TV, on here, etc.) about how the game has changed and three point shooting is much more important (or at least more utilized) than it's ever been.

OF COURSE you disagree with this stance Mr. 33 foot jumpshot.

Fans generally feel better about their team when they shoot a poor percentage from inside the arc, vs outside the arc. The common feeling is that they at least worked for their shot.

I'm too lazy to look up the timing, but I think he was overreacting to Memphis being up 2-1 with ground and pound, as well as a few other series developments (when the Clips were obliterating Hou with Blake/DeAndre).

The thing about the 3, is that not only is it worth more than the 2, but your team doesn't get beat down by and drained of energy reserves taking them.

I believe the Bulls were up on the Cavs and the Wiz were beating the Hawks at the same time. He's definitely one of the best coaches of all time, but like many former players he has to catch up with the current times.
