Anyway, maybe "most years" was probably incorrect. I've never seen a need for 8 teams though.

I know the "it will never happen" argument but what happens if you have more than 4 undefeated teams? On the contrary, what if you have 4 one loss teams, and a 2 loss SEC champ who only lost to top 10 teams on the road? I mean that has to play in somewhere right?

The fact that Mike Tranghese is on that list is an absolute joke. This is the guy that blackballed Penn State from the Big East

yep, but their new system gives them what they want, more control over who they want. These people want to make money; they are not concerned about who the best team is.

This is on the low end of the total number of committee members expected when they were planning this. This July article has the possible members at 12 to 20, and the article also talks about current AD's not being expected on the committee until that time.

Still don't understand why they didn't just keep the BCS rankings and choose the top 4 from there.

There's an LSU connection - Dan Radakovich was an Assistant AD in the early 2000s before going to Georgia Tech and Clemson.

Can someone explain to me why you'd have someone this random on a football selection committee?

It was broken on arrival brah.

lol @ people who want the coaches who don't watch the games and stupid-arse CPUs.

March Madness has a selection committee. They don't use biased coaches who only care about their own interests.

The Coaches Poll vote and champ is the biggest joke in sports.

Which is a good thing. There should only be a handful of teams in the FBS. As it stands we have like 120. That's way too many.

How is she worse than Tranghese? Maybe Tranghese would be ok if Seton Hall or Providence played football

LMAO @ the BCS nostalgia. The BCS fricking sucks. There's a reason it's a lame duck system, and I can't wait for it to die its long overdue death. I'd like an 8 team playoff, but 4 is better than the crock of shite system we've got now.
