NBA players getting fouled "While in the Act of Shooting Threes"

It's getting out of hand. Sure, there are instances where a player is legitimately getting fouled while shooting and there players who are great at initiating contact.
However, there are way too many situations where defender would slap or reach in while it's clear the ball handler is not preparing to shoot, but he would just throw it up in the direction of the basket and get 3 free throw attempts gift wrapped anyway.
Hope the NBA takes a look at this in the offseason.

I wouldn't mind seeing those type of plays not rewarded as much. Jump shooters can now live at the line like they are a slasher.

Harden has more of these on his own than any one team combined. He's at 90+ on the season. A true act of taking less skilled players to school. You reach, James will teach.

I'm firmly convinced you would literally blow Harden if you felt it was for the greater good to keep him happy in Houston.

It's a cheap tactic, but it's 100% a foul so I'm not sure how you could ever get rid of it.

I don't like when the offensive player jumps forward into a defensive player and gets a foul call. That's BS and I agree with you. But I wasn't talking about that.
I'm talking about when a defender reaches their arm out and the offensive player goes up for a shot and hits his arms on the defender's arms. It's cheap, but it's a foul.

Not the first time you been convinced of something that was laughably off the mark.

I don't like how "continuation" is not called the same at the end of qtrs.
