This will be a quicker break than normal just in time for hoops to kick off the next night. 6 boxes. 10 cards. 7 hits a box.
Ben Simmons base is in this product. Like any limited prints from the mid+ tiers, these cards are worth a good bit.
I'm excited. As always I'm trying to find ways to somehow be cheaper than the big boys and more comprehensive and interactive.
Good luck to all that participate! Dying to pull some heat.
Next break will likely be a more base heavy break in the interest of keeping things different. Though not necessarily better values, I will do my best to find the best bang out there to have a solidly long and fun break with.

So the next case has been ordered. We will be breaking 2016-17 NBA Spectra. This is essentially Gold Standard (which received such good reactions from you guys) on steroids. Plenty of great veteran auto relics (way less complete crap autos) and rookie autos to be had. 6 boxes. 10 cards per box. 7 hits per box. Another benefit to Spectra is the fact that there are Ben Simmons base cards worth quite a pretty penny. The quality of the cards that I've encountered has been superb, another thing GS and Spectra have in common as opposed to the Noirs, Immacs, NTs of the world.
The checklist is far superior to GS. There are way fewer random "legends" taking up autos and junk bench guys. The cards are also very aesthetically pleasing as each different color has a different refractor design. This product was released post trade deadline as well so some of the players have their new teams as cards. Some have both. The card will go to the team SHOWN on the card (see: Buddy Hield).
Spots will only be $46/each. They will be first come, first serve with a maximum of 4 teams per participant. We will randomize and do everything like we have in the past. Further details to follow
Btw the next product we do WILL be a higher card count, heavier base product. Gold Standard was enjoyed so much, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to break Spectra. I'm personally hoping the winding down of the baseball season will allow us to creep in with some Bowman Chrome action. The gloves are back baby. Let's do work folks and pull some filth

What Is a Case Break?
I front the money for the cards. I front the money for the supplies, including various sizes of toploaders and mags to fit the jersey cards and thicker card stock. I pay for shipping. I sort the cards and ship them out.
You sit back, watch, and wait with baited breath hoping the team you randomly draw hits some nice cards. You will receive every card for your assigned team, even the base cards.
This will be a random team break. Every person who participates in the break will receive a team based on random.org. The organizer will roll two dice to see how many times we use the random generator. We will randomly generate TWICE. The first time will be to get the order of the participants. The second time will get the order of the teams. I will demonstrate beforehand how this works, so no one suspects funny business.
The Spots
There will be 29 spots (1 combo) that will be randomed. The team the checklist says the card goes to will be awarded any the card. Typically, this is always the team pictured on the card.
I will also be using gloves to touch any of the cards. Hopefully not the white ones. We'll see what I can accomplish!
As always, there will be some surprises and some giveaways.

this Lecuck rookie card sold for over $300k in 2016. the most of any card ever.

It's important to note that like nobody from 2010 draft is still playing on the same team. In today's NBA, team allegiance shouldn't be too important for Rookie cards. They likely won't be there for the full prime anyway. 
So what I'm saying is don't worry about getting "your team" necessarily.

No. I'm sorry. The reasons should be very apparent plus I've already done one break without anyone hsving an up-front issue. That was Saturday and people are already seeing their cards after I sorted 500+ and had to organize a massive giveaway on top.

Honestly, selling basketball rookies has by far been the easiest sale for me on eBay.

i want in on this. hopefully i remember to post tomorrow . is there some way you can post the cards that are available like you did for the baseball break? seems a little more difficult because it looks like there is more than just one case, so i dunno if that's plausible.
also, does anyone have an estimate of team values for this? is it pretty much in line with which teams have valuable players IRL?
what are the odds that you get your money's worth? basically, how many teams are likely to get $47 worth of cards out of these sets? i know it's impossible to say for sure with the luck of the draw, but im just looking for some estimates to get an idea of what's going on.

The teams with the best rookies from the 16-17 class. In order including vet pulls
- Lakers - 150 - Kobe/Ingram
- 76ers - 135 - Simmons/Saric/Luwawu
- Twolves - 90
- Celtics - 90
- Nuggets//Pelicans//Bucks//Suns//GSW - 70-75ish
At the top I may be missing someone, I think I got it though. If Lebron wasn't as Upper Deck guy, CLE would be 1. They're still up there but no Panini products have Bron autos and most don't have jerseys. Absolute has a high number though.
Those are values id use for trade. Regarding making your 47 back or how many? It's so hard to tell. Not many will make it back to 47, but the goal is to fly past 47. I will say with the balance I've created here there's a better shot of more people getting back to even.
I've considered offering consignment to higher end cards. Not much like 5-10% but I have 100% rep on 113 feedback in just 3 months on eBay. I get pretty good prices for my stuff. We'll see. No one has asked me to do it yet, but if we come to that bridge, that's fine.
I want to see the first true 1 of 1 in this break for the MSB. The 1/1 printing plate auto was cool in the first one but 1/1 is one of one.
