Are there still naysayers left when it comes to this private organization's age limit?

When I see the Harrison twins, I see a perfect example of why teams/GMs/owners need to be protected from their own bad decisions. Those two would have likely been first rounders(or even lottery picks) coming out of high school, were exposed in college as being simply average prospects at best.

Anyway, make your case, the outliers will always exist, but this is clearly good for the league.

The NBA can do what it wants but I think a 2 or 3 year rule would be better for the whole sport. The NBA will still get all the talent and further protect themselves from busts. I dont really know why they'd prefer the current one year rule and itd be wayyy better for college hoops.

Either adopt the football 3 yr rule or the baseball go through the draft then sign or wait 3 years rule. Too much turnover on college basketball rosters

I like the idea of GMs being put on the spot to evaluate guys early. I mean Barcelona signed a midget kid in soccer who turned out to be the best player in the world. If these frickers want to earn millions doing a job any reasonable basketball fan could, they damn well better do it well.

3 years is too long, will never happen. I do think they can change it to two years thou.

None. Go back to Kobe, LeBron, Garnett era. I'll let SFP make the case that the NBA is the best place to train guys. The NBA shouldn't care about the health of CBB. No age limit is better than one and done IMO.

That might be true, but I couldn't care less about the NBA, so I just want CBB to be as good as possible.

Also, from what I've seen, I wouldn't listen to SFP too often when it comes to the NBA.

I think they should have an age limit, but have levels of financial rewards if you are drafted in the lottery and first round with college basketball honors.

So if you were a first team all-american you get a 5% premium on your draft slot. If you won player of the year it is a 10% premium on your draft slot. Then make it where this is paid out by the league and is not a salary cap issue. This may persuade players to stay back and improve.

They already do premium contract offerings with NBA players like the Derrick Rose Rule.

I don't know how the NCAA will view this, but if you think about someone coming back to be an all american they can inprove their draft slot and get a couple extra million.

You don't care about the nba except you desperately need them to enforce an age limit so the sham of amateur college athletics can continue.

no elite player would ever go to college under the baseball rule. Go overseas and get paid decent while traveling the world.

Exactly. I don't care if the NBA is watchable or not. College basketball benefiting is all that I care about.

I would love if the NBA adopted the MLB way of doing it.

You can declare straight for the NBA out of high school and go play, no problem.

But if you decide to go to college out of high school, then you have to do 3 years before you can go Pro.

That would help the college game tremendously, while still letting the players with the Lebron and KG and Kobe skill sets coming out of high school to go straight to the NBA.

The college game has become a shell of its former self

You should be able to do what you want at 18.

Why do the people that are so passionate about the NBA rules not gripe about the NFL rule? I understand that most aren't physically ready, but honestly, most basketball players aren't either. Very few have been an immediate success and by the time they start contributing, they are free agents and don't help the team that drafted them at all.
