I jokingly texted my dad after lap 2 that there would only be 5 trucks left @ the end. I was damn close! (I think 7 actually finished)

Also, this stupid 5 min rule or park it, is even dumber than the segment racing crap.

So you wreck on lap 2, have moderate damage that would only put you a few laps down, but can't quite fix it in 5 mins. Now you're done for the day?

Good thing teams aren't hurting for sponsorship dollars and funding! Oh wait...

I love all forms of racing and I still love stock cars but NASCAR is becoming boring IMO. They really need to cut back on all this gimmicks they have. I don't know why they simply can't go back to having a season long championship battle instead of the chase? Now you got these annoying stages? Right now I think the best form of racing comes from IndyCar and Sportscar/Endurance racing to be honest.

I don't like all the gimmicks either but your argument is a little strange. For instance in the race last night the stages caused a lot of things I don't like but it damn sure wasn't boring

I love how you guys are whining about the format but whined about point racing. You guys will complain no matter what NASCAR does.

Give it a chance and see what happens.

So they're doing the new format in this race as well?

He sprayed Pam cooking spray on a set, Nascar took them.

I can live with the segment points, but they don't need the automatic caution that goes with it, just count the points as they cross the line and let the race continue its flow.

NASCAR's biggest issue is probably how inept they are getting back to green flag racing. Simple "Debris" caution, 6 laps later, their back racing.

I hate the segment points, but the caution at the end of the segment is dumb. And if I'm not badly mistaken, the caution laps count.

Yes, they count, truck race last night had 6 cautions, only two major wrecks last night (one being on the very last lap), yet 30/100 laps were under caution

Of course, just have to have more restarts for some more manufactured drama.

I'm not complaining about the format in fact last night I enjoyed it

I did say I'm not generally in favor of the more gimmicky things they have tried like the caution clock but I'm not complaining about the format

I'm hoping it will cause them to reduce the phantom debris cautions
