Hey, it may not be the big time, but it's a hell of a lot better product than that shite show Johnny Jones and crew gave us this season. At least someone in the LSU system is performing.

Hey I have no idea where they come up with some of these fricking names.

They're playing Westmont (CA) tomorrow.

LSUA's front line is 6'8", 6'9", and 6'11". For NAIA, that's pretty dominating. They went 32-0 on the regular season.

Normally, I wouldn't, but the school has had a men's basketball program for only three years and in that time dropped only six regular season games. Good little coach. Again, he's doing better with what he has to work with than Jones did.

Won a title not too long ago I believe. Used to go by USAO which is way better.

I don't care what league/division you're in, a 91% winning percentage is impressive.

Go Generals! Great win to start the tournament. These guys have been the consensus #1team in the NAIA most of the year and are undefeated. Coach Cordaro just won national NAIA coach of the year yesterday as well. What he has done from building this program from nothing to national power in three years is simply amazing.

They are looking at moving a few of their home games from "The Fort" to the Rapides Parish Coliseum for next season.

Interesting part of this is, that the coaching staff are recruiting throughout the Southern U.S. to get players, not just a few small local schools. Unlike NCSS D-III which cannot offer scholarships, NAIA can offer schollys, which makes things a bit more attractive. On-campus living arrangements aren't bad either.

it's all relative

NAIA recruiting can be more shady than the NCAA and there are a few programs in basketball and baseball that can compete with the D1, more so in baseball.

LSUS had a player this year that played at Notre Dame and was a top 100 national recruit. They've also had a few other big time high school players like Anton Palmer.

NAIA can take all the top NCAA guys that aren't ready for the NBA but no other school will touch them because of baggage

Shady recruiting may be true but I've seen nothing suggesting LSUA has done any of this. These guys all were passed over by larger schools or didn't get the playing time expected at bigger schools. Point guard last year transferred from Arkansas. Center this year transferred from La Tech. Hell their Power Forward led the country in blocked shots last year in all divisions. He didn't even get recruited in high school and didn't start playing organized ball until his junior year of high school.

Were eliminated yesterday, as was Loyola.

Dillard is still alive on the opposite side of the bracket as LSU-A, so an all La championship game isn't out of the mix yet.

This one. They didn't want to be called Baby Tigers so they went for something else. Student body voted the name.
