The Members of Augusta open the course to the public for a week or two after the Masters for charity. All proceeds go to a good cause and you get to play Augusta.

How much would you pay? I'd go $1500?

IB4 it'll never happen.

Ib4 Each member would just drop the cash to stop it from being needed and just give that money.

This is just a "for instance". I know it would never happen.

After having walked it, some of the allure is gone for me

I would say the act of being invited to play would be way cooler than just paying

I won't pay more than $70 to play golf ANYWHERE. It's just not worth it, no matter how "prestigious" the place is.

I don't even play golf ...but, I'd probably drop about $2,500 if given the chance...if only there would be very few people there.

I may not even play it ... I'd just walk it ... somehow trying to imagine what it may have been like to be Arnold Palmer ... who forever shall be THE MAN...an absolute Legend.

But ... to go and watch it ... I would pay $0.00.

I live an hour away ... it's on TV.

I paid about $500 to play Whistling Straits last September and that was the most I've ever paid for a round.. I think I would pay $2-3k to play at AN.

What would you put ahead of it?

Pine Valley?
Bandon Dunes?

I'd pay 5k easily. Granted it costs over a grand on the secondary market to buy a single day ticket, getting a chance to play there would be priceless for 99.9999999% of the people that would never, in real life, have that opportunity. You can pay several hundred dollars to play any other major tournament course

I'd pay $1500 with the understanding that I would not get any crap for dropping 3-4 balls on every hole

That's just it

Once people can pay to play, even for one week of the year, it has lost a huge chunk of the exclusivity that they have worked so hard to hold on to
