97.7 in NELA went independent as a result of all the politics and listeners texting in and voicing their displeasure.

I'm sure they will not regret giving up all that money for 5 people in Ruston complaining.

No joke.
Now is where the listeners have a chance to put up or shut up. I'm skeptical of agenda free sports radio having any real success.

I don't think they will. The community supports them bigly. Starting next week they will air Clay Travis. They will be airing several Fox shows but staying independent in case fox decided to go route of ESPN.

So in an effort to get back to traditional sports programming and removing politics from the discussion, they're going with Clay Travis? WTF?

Looks like some of your are sour because you're being proven wrong that ESPN foing political does have an effect on their bottom line.

Nah, I'm just skeptical of agenda-free programming having any real success.
People still want an agenda, they just want one with which they agree.

ESPN doesn't give a shite about Ruston, Louisiana. Call me when a station in a city that is relevant nationally decides to drop ESPN.

I think that's why they added clay Travis and his anti PC agenda. You'd be surprised how many sports fans in NELA are anti PC (you shouldn't be)

it was more than likely a financial decision under the guise of this
