We beat the Stars 4-0 last night. Our next two games are against the Stars at home.

3 in a row? that is crazy scheduling.

Things have gone quiet around the Coyotes relocation/Ice Edge proposals...wonder if QC or Seattle are getting a franchise or if Glendale will keep paying 25 million a year to keep a team in the desert? Oh and sorry to KC people but frick y'all getting an NHL team before Seattle or QC

It's the closest thing the Stars will have to a mini series. And two of the games are in Anaheim against the West Coast Duck Dynasty.

Phoenix can't find anyone to buy the team. Nobody local wants it, and all the OOT owners are scared off from Bettman's interference.
QC will probably get a team again. Colorado is having problems--wouldn't that be weird to have what amounts to what the Raiders did moving from Oakland and then going back?
Seattle's team is coming. Gagliardi is simply being patient, making the Stars so bad they can't be viable in DFW, then when the new arena is built out to the Pacific NW they go.

tampa and miami do not deserve teams either TBH.
will the preds last in nashville?
Hell Hamilton could get a team also in the future possibly. They could support a team.

I know you've been saying this for awhile, and I've heard the theory elsewhere, but I actually like these trades today as a hockey trade. The Stars just flipped two one-year rentals for prospects, which is precisely what teams in their position SHOULD be doing. They look like a well-run organization today.
The Ott deal, OTOH, still stings, even though it was probably a good hockey trade.

They did what the Rangers should have been doing with Josh (let him go for nothing) and Elvis (need pitching but instead we lock him up when we already have his replacement in Profar).
The only problem is that there aren't enough core Stars fans to make this work long term and the team couldn't find anyone local to buy the team.
The North Stars built a good team but Dallas ended up with the benefits, though that was due to facility issues. The Stars are building a good team but Seattle will end up with the benefits due to lack of core fanbase.

And that's what tipped me off that the Dallas ownership isn't interested in keeping the local fans on board. You don't trade a fan favorite for a rental, especially when your team isn't playoff material in the first place.

Wtf are the Rangers doing?
Hanging on to a playoff spot by a hair and you trade for Ryan Clowe?
Turrrrible move.

Any time you can trade a bunch of draft picks for a player who has 0 goals, you have to make that deal.
