Most uneventful first round in a long time.

It seems like most series are headed for sweeps. It usually seems like we usually get a few great series in the first round. Not so much this year.

A lot of the games have been great. I really don't care if the series ends in 4 or 7 as long as the games are fun.
Really looking forward to the possible 2nd round matchups.

Last year's 1st round was an aberration. The 1st round of the NBA playoffs is almost always terrible and non-competitive. It doesn't get going until the second round, historically. The NBA is not known for a lot of 1st round upsets (which is why we do remember the rare ones so clearly).
And honestly, by NHL standards, this year's 1st round has been pretty quiet. It looks like only about two series will go 7.

I mean even as enjoyable as last year's playoffs were it went pretty much chalk. 1v2 in the conference finals.

It needs to go back to best of 5. There's almost no point of the first round in the Eastern Conference.
