In relation to R.A Dickey's back to back 1 hitters.

I say a no hitter and back-to-back one hitters are fairly close.

No hitters are impressive, but back-to-back complete game one hitters are just about as impressive.

Too many times a starter is hit pretty well after he has a complete game, plus to come out after 5 days rest and throw after thinking about that one hit you gave up can be bad news for a pitcher.

More 1 hitters.

It's like pitching a 1 hitter with only allowing 1 single and maybe one walk.

That's technically better than a no hitter giving up 4 walks. But obviously no one remembers the one hitter while we celebrate the no hitter.

I'd rather throw 1 no hitter but it's harder and more impressive to throw back to back 1 hitters.

Johnny Vander Meer laughs at back to back 1 hitters.

Seriously though, this is pretty close. Damn, I'll go with the no hitter by a hair.

Now just 2 consecutive complete games is a shock.

IMO, two 1 hitters. Unless you throw back to back no hitters or follow a no hitter with a CG 1 or 2 hitter

Back to back one hitters is more impressive to me than one no-hitter.

1 no hitter is way more impressive. i cant believe some of yall's responses. the pressure from innings 7 and on arent even comparable.

If I am pitching, I def would rather have the no hitter. However, if I am the coach or a fan of the team, I def would rather have my guy throw back to back 1 hitters.

ESPN is comparing which is the harder feat, 1 perfect game or back-2-back 1 hitters.

Stieb had no-hitters broken up with two outs and two strikes in the bottom of the ninth inning in two consecutive starts, late 80s.
