If he is young and a potential future All-Star then yes you do... Not as the headliner but he is a solid player

I misunserstood what you were talking about but the point stands. A young major league player with three years of control left is very valuable. He isn't a correa, seager, Bryant level of trade value, but still fricking valuable

Amazing what injuries can do to some people's perception. Profar was once widely considered the best prospect in baseball. He got called up when he was 19 and has done very little to diminish those high expectations when on the field. The problem is injuries sidelined him in 2014 & 2015. People forgot about him. Now he's back in the majors, playing all over the field, and once again living up to expectations. And he's still only 23.

WestCoastAg, what do you think the Dodgers will do? I'm hoping they don't morgage their future for short term gains. They're just 2 1/2 games out and they had a rahs of injuries to the pitching staff. Kershaw, Anderson, Yimi Garcia, Frankie Montas, and Alex Wood should be back before September 1.

You can read all the Keith Law you want about how great he is, but at some point he has to produce.

Lol What? I have season tickets and can guarantee I've seen more of him in person than likely you or Keith Law. He's produced just fine for someone who has missed the last two seasons with injuries.

In Gallo's debut Tuesday night he saw more pitches (22) than any other Ranger who had an at bat. Yeah, he struck out, but he's improved drastically over the last season.

Teams wanting Rich Hill like Jays, Dodgers, 'Stros have to create 2-tiered deal based on a major prospect if he makes 10 starts for new team

Interesting. So do I understand this correctly by thinking that they would trade a prospect for Hill but also sign something saying if Hill makes 10 starts then recieving team would have to send another (top) prospect? And if he doesn't make 10 starts then it's just the initial guy?

I'm prob not understanding that right cause why wouldn't a team just start him for 9 games? I understand that could take playoffs out of the picture but still

I think the most likely dodger move is wade davis and Ian kennedy. Keeps us from moving major prospects and gives us the finishing touches on the pen for October now that who knows what's going on with liberatores knee

wade davis
I'm worried about that. Supposedly the Royals are asking for a king's ransom for Davis. Doesn't make sense to me to overpay unless they think they can't resign Jensen.

For sure. But that kings ransom is ian kennedys contract which we would take full control of. Wed still have to give someone up, but the prospect price would be considerably lower. And I am not sure if we are bringing back kenley

I have to completely disagree with your assessment of Jurickson Profar. The kid has a lot of tools and will be a very good major leaguer when he gets consistent playing time everyday.

for Davis the Royals will still want a top prospect, even taking on Kennedy

Davis was the setup man until late last year. If the Dodgers lead after 7, it's a guaranteed win.

That may be, but by the time the Sox are ready to compete again, he'll have a year left on his deal, if that.

Back to actual trades, quite a heavy price paid by the Marlins. Those may not be the best prospects in the game but they were the Marlins 2 best (per reports). Changer can be really good but it's been a while.

Todd Frazier pulled from the CWS. Allegedly for the flu.

Allegedly.

Totally guessing who the third team might be, but Puig fits NYM's needs.

Man Puig plus Cespedes would be a fun team to watch
