Seems like the Yankees would accept that in a heartbeat. Nats going all out to win before Harper leaves if they do this.

Wow, now Heyman says the Yankees won't do Miller for Giolito.

That's absolutely crazy if true. This pitching market is way out of whack.

The club is said to want three times the total value it achieved in its trade of Aroldis Chapman, who netted one very good prospect in Gleyber Torres along with three other pieces with real value.

Yankees should just take that... not sure why they are stalling, doubt another team comes in with a prospect of that caliber.

Jim Bowden ESPN Senior Writer Nationals not trading Lucas Giolito in any deals at this deadline...not for Davis not for Miller. They are sticking with their long term plan of having 3 potential or already number one starters in Scherzer Strasburg and eventually Giolito.

If true they need to just pull the trigger on that. You still have Betances at the back end and the Yankees can spend on premium relievers in the FA market

He was an All Star. Bowden said the prospect will be a middle reliever.

I don't even know why Profar is being mentioned. He's not a prospect

Profar is a year younger than Kris Bryant, who when he was 23 was still considered a prospect. I've watched close to 40 Texas games in person this year and can sit and hear and say that Profar, if given every day play at SS, is all-star quality. He already is better defensively than Elvis and he's a solid switch hitter.

Secondly, that obviously wouldn't be it in the trade, but that is who the White Sox reportedly want the package to revolve around. Gallo and Mazara.

Please stop speaking about Texas prospects. You know nothing about them other than maybe glancing at their stats on Baseball Reference.

Profar and Gallo is way light for Chris Sale.

I don't even know why Profar is being mentioned. He's not a prospect, has only 3 years of control, and frankly his numbers aren't anything special. Nothing close to a headliner.

yea cause no one wants a 23yd old Ben Zobrist

you are clueless. He's also prob one of the 15 youngest position players in the MLB right now

Profar has 3 years of control left. He is not a prospect I'm sorry if you don't like it, but that is a fact. You can read all the Keith Law you want about how great he is, but at some point he has to produce.
Gallo has an enormous strikeout rate. Another fact.
Those are the only 2 I've said anything about, and both are facts, not opinion.

If you don't think Profar is good enough to be one of the main pieces of a deal for Sale you don't watch much baseball. He has clearly turned the corner this year and is ready for stardom IMO

Once again, if you are trading an ace, who is under control for 3 years, you do not take a 3 year player back as the headliner.
