Gallo Ks too much and he's nearing the expiration point (in terms of time) of being a "top prospect". Sox have had enough Hi K home run guys.
The other one mentioned is Profar, who has the same level of control as Sale, and his numbers are basically average for an infielder.

Gallo as a 21-22 year old in 122 AAA games has 32 HR and a .847 OPS and you are ready to write him off. HE doesnt turn 23 until November

Profar debuted in the MLB at 19, and has played every infield position this year. I think that says enough about his talent. If i had to guess he's still one of the 15 youngest players currently playing in the MLB.

Even so, that is a pretty weak effort to support your theory.

The Dodgers are willing to trade Julio Urias for Chris Sale according to Joel Sherman. Doesn't look like he will move though

Im not sure the Dodgers have the minor league hitting depth to make that trade, unless they are willing to maybe deal Puig w/ Urias

both cody bellinger and alex verdugo would be valuable trade assets in that package with urias

bellinger is a top 30 prospect and verdugo a top 50

yea i like them, im just saying with the aging vets LAD has, it wouldnt be wise to wipe out the hitting cupboard when its not as deep as the pitching side. And the Sox would have to get a little of both

agreed. bellinger is probably a year away from taking over at first. i dont think we make the trade for that reason unless the sox value puig a lot higher than what you would think

the wild card is i really dont think kershaw is coming back this year and that could make the front office freak out

I still think Sale is more of a off season trade option than in season, JMO

not hugely impressed, esp involving Sale. Quintia maybe with a Puig

19 year old with 10.71 K/9 and a 3.31 FIP in the majors. If he stays healthy, I think he will be a stud. Now by himself, he still isn't enough for Sale, but I could see starting a package with him.

nah, seen him 3-4 times, knocked around each time. Not saying he won't be good someday but not for Sale. What your insiders saying Lester I know you have those relevant peeps

sure no guarantees on that but sure.

I'm old, trust my eyes more than paper numbers, just me and I'd need to see more to involve Sale.

This is the same guy who said Texas has no elite prospects and one of his reasons was Profar's age

He doesn't know anything about Texas or their prospects and likely has never been to the Rangers spring training to watch them play, like myself, so I'm taking his opinion with a grain of salt.
