Praise the lord. AP is reporting the All-Star Game results won't determine World Series home field. Goes to pennant winner with best record.

Luckily this never really screwed anyone in a World Series.

RIP to the last competitive, fun-to-watch All Star game. Just another exhibition game now.

Thank god... Was fricking stupid that the best team in the league didn't get home field.

Prior to the rule change they alternated annually like the NFL does for the Super Bowl.

One of the items that made the MLB a laughing stock to a lot of people.

If you know of a metric that can attribute a four-run loss to the fact that Game 7 was played in St. Louis and not Arlington, I'd love to see it.

The Cubs won the WS because of this. If Game 6 or 7 were in Wrigley the Indians win the series.

I always thought Selig was on full retard when he implemented that rule.

This was one time it was ok for home field to be decided by the ASG since the NL roster was basically the Cubs, and they lost.

Can we get rid of fan voting and every team has to have a player in the All-Star game?

i never had a problem with the rule. So you get one less game in the world series. Cry me a river. Go win a game.

Basically the only way you can really even almost attribute this to anything is if a Game 7 is decided by one run or goes to extras when the road team has the better regular season record and loses.

The number of times this has happened: twice.
