The GOAT argument as players is played out, let's move on to a more interesting argument-- who is a shittier GM?

Love for Wiggins vs Drafting Kwame?

Locking down Thompson on a near max deal and bringing in his buds to fill the 9-12 slots on the roster vs. whatever dumb contract MJ has offered lately (actually most of MJs mess ups seem draft related)?

Well Love for Wiggins has been a clear net positive for the Cavs. Maybe down the line it won't be, but Wiggins needs to make some drastic improvements for that to even be possible (e.g., not make Carmelo look like a more unselfish passer).

Besides, whether they got Love or kept Wiggins, each scenarios is better than Kwame Brown.

You have to use MJ as GM as a player.

Eg.
LeBron gets David Blatt fired for Ty Lue. Jordan gets Doug Collins fired for Phil Jackson.

CP3 for Kyrie straight up would also be a smart move short term, there's a reason GMs generally aren't also the HC much less a player-- building for the short term is usually stupid, unless you're 100% you can actually get over the hump.

Well one is in his 6th straight Finals as GM, so...

Lue's first year: Finals loss

Phils first year: loss in conf finals

Wasting away what is left of Lebron's good years while Wiggins toils away at the 3 for 4 years is a terrible idea.

Jury's still out on if Tyronn Lue can win 12 rings with several different rosters

Put it this way, the difference between Jordan and LeBron as players is closer than the gap between LeBron and Jordan as GMs.

Yep. All we know is his first year was more productive. That is the only stone cold fact

Well when you have LeBron for a few years, long term is a but irrelevant. Wiggins would have provided limited value short term, and hasn't shown enough to indicate he would provide a lot of long-term value in the first place. And even if he did, there is no grantee he would be around.

Wiggins appears to quickly becoming the most overrated player on here. The potential is there, but he's been a lesser version of Carmelo Anthony in almost every facet of the game.

Collins lost the ECF his last year so no improvement, same as Lue over Blatt (assuming they lose the Finals again)

Awesome. Still a fact Lue had a more productive first year than Phil. Time will tell if he is on the path to 12

Actually Collins lost the ECF in 6, whereas Jackson took them to 7. So Lue has to at least take the Finals to 7 for LeBron to keep pace

Nope. Lues first year is already more accomplished than Phils

Absolute fact

This exercise is stupid but if we're judging them as a GM, you have to judge how much they improve based on their personnel moves.

Based on Year 1 Jackson was a measured improvement over Collins by 1 playoff game. Will Lue be an improvement over Blatt?

Well the Cavs were a better team this year with Lue than with Blatt.
