Maybe not a formal betting pool but I can definitely see someone who doesn't share his values signing up for the challenge.

Makes sense one other way. He's already rich and famous. If a gold digger or cleat chaser wants to try to land him, she can tell him exactly what he wants to hear and it would be hard for him to know whether she's telling the truth. He needs someone who has her own money. Unfortunately, high profile women are, on average, less compatible with him than civilians (for lack of a better term).

Why are we all assuming that she's telling the truth?
I've only known a handful of women who freely admit that a guy dumped her. Instead, they frequently rewrite history to make it seem like the guy was the problem.
