Mini-fro Kobe all day. Was incredibly underrated.

But he was one of the GOAT while wearing #24

I grew up on Fro #8 Kobe. That version was raw af, but #24 Kobe was smarter and more calculated with everything he did. For nostalgia sake of go #8 Interesting to see which Jersey the Lakers retire.

What I've learned in the past weeks about Kobe is that here's no in between, you either love him or hate him. But I would only add you have to respect this guy's accomplishments. There won't be a lot more other guys in the future that will replicate his body of work.

Meh, I never really minded Kobe that much. I respect the hell out of his ability as a basketball player and enjoyed watching him play. But him and MJ have the exact same personalities. It's what made them so great but it also turned a lot of people against them.

I think he was at his absolute best in 05-07, but his 2009 season was really good. That was his best year in the playoffs for sure

He was still a beast in 2013 before the Achilles pop. Dude played all 78 games prior to the injury and averaged 27/6/6 on 46% shooting. He was a shell of his former self defensively, but he was still an elite scorer.

Kobe and Phil embrace after their falling out 4 years prior. This was Kobe's first championship away from Shaq

Kobe is not to be trifled with

I wouldn't be surprised to see them retire #8 and #24, but I think he'll be primarily remembered as #24 as the years go on.

I'm pretty sure he played 10 seasons in each jersey, but I think he was more accomplished as 24 since he won the MVP and both finals MVPs in that jersey. His peak years spanned both jerseys
