Mike D'Antoni moves Harden to full time PG

"With James you make a joke he's a 'points guard' because he's going to score some points," D'Antoni said. Under the new up-tempo offense, D'Antoni has decided to put the ball in Harden's hands more than last season, like a traditional point guard, to get opposing defenses off him in the half court. It should also allow Harden to become more of a playmaker.

That's the goal. This years team should light up the scoreboard with the shooters surrounding Jim. Harden will average 8.5-9 apg a night.

8.5 + due to the upgrade in shooting, maybe even 9 with the combination of shooters and bringing the ball upcourt.

I'm not so sure that the guy who broke the record for turnovers in a season should move to full time pg.

if that helps him better his shot selection, which has outright lost games for them, the Rockets may be on to something.

So far this preseason for Harden:
Game 1: 10 assists
Game 2: 11 assists
Game 3: 15 assists
Rockets are averaging 128 points per game.
