How many Heisman winning QBs fail in the NFL?

Ever hear of Pat Sullivan, Gino Torretta, Charlie Ward.....The list is endless.

You want this to be an issue.

do think he was given less of a chance compared to others in the NFL because some teams didn't want the extra media attention or potential problems with homophobic teammates

you dont think the 49ERS wouldnt have given him a chance if he was any good- in the gayest city in the US on a team that has been ravaged by defensive line injurues and retirements?

I think you're missing my point.

The OP said that it was weird that the SEC DPOY didn't make it in the NFL. I was asking how many Heisman QBs fail in the NFL to show that winning awards in college does not guarantee success in the NFL because a lot of Heisman QBs fail in the NFL.

No, that locker room was supposedly very outspoken about NOT having gay players on the team.

Go look up his stats from that awesome senior season. Pretty sure he racked up like 9 of his sacks playing OOC non power 5 teams. He's awesome!

Not sure. But wasn't he co-DPY?

And I can see them throwing a bone to Mizzou since the other recent admit to the SEC had a Heisman

I find it hard to believe that he didn't make it i the NFL as a defensive specialist or backup.

Pass rushing specialists that can't play special teams need to be all-world.

He was not.

It's not interesting that an undersized rush end who ran 4.9 40 never made it in the NFL

Because he didn't deserve that award.

How does Tim Tebow not have a roster spot? College success doesn't always mean something relative to the pro game.

See the numerous heisman winners who haven't done squat in the league.
