Michael Oher cant get his footing in SB, literally slipping on the field (video)

Cannot for the life of me figure out how the NFL with billions of dollars, cannot come up with a decent grass field that holds up.

That was all on the player and the Equipment guy not making them wear the screw ins.

Happened to Trai Turner on the same play. Not quite to that extent, but you can see as he goes down, his legs just slip out from under him.
I'm assuming they changed his spikes after that series. I've never seen that happen to any player before

I always laugh at the cliche sideline report during rainy games when we are told the team switched to one inch cleats.

That was nuts. I've never seen anything like that on a football field before.
Talk about a fantastic way to destroy an ankle, having the cleat dig in at a random time in that kind of slide.

They have had issues with the turf there since the place opened... I was worried about the footing for the game... Saw some slipping but it seemed to hold up well.. IMO they should have turf at every SB location...

Agree 100%, even if it means keeping the Super Bowl in just three or four locations.

I used to always make my guys wear 5/8ths, even though it was against the rules. We also wore metal tipped and colored them in until they were allowed.
If it was nice field I would let the WR wear Tiempo's or Copa, but we had Nike Stickers to cover the 3 stripes for the Copa's.

Levi Stadium has had issues with the field ever since they started using it. I think it's been replaced several times. Correct me if I am wrong. It's embarrassing.

My understanding was that it was re-sodded 3 times this season, once before the season started, sometime mid-season, and then post season before the Super Bowl.

Yet the Broncos had no problem blowing by them and pushing them around. Sounds like this is on the Panthers shitty equipment guys.
