Hard to believe it'll have been ten years now since they've won.

Who would have thought coming into this offseason by mid-December it would be the White not Red colored Sox with the better team?

Duke, LaRoche, Samardzija, Robertson, Jennings, and now Melky.

The Red Sox front office has been a colossal failure the last two off seasons. I think it is pretty clear that we got lucky 2 years ago winning the series. Since then its like the front office has went close to full retard. The only good thing is we haven't been giving away young talent. I do have an issue though with us acting like a small market team not wanting to spend.

He fits perfectly in the 2 hole. The WhiteSox are saying screw the WC, they're going for the division. They given themselves a 3 year run where they are looking to seriously contend. I wouldn't be surprised if they made one more big move.

I think the Red Sox are still the better team.

Hanley
Pablo
Miley
Porcello
The Cuban dude

Red Sox are a lot better this year than last, improved 3B, OF, and the rotation

RedSox have a mediocre rotation. Nothing at the top. They'll have to hit a lot. top 3 of Whitesox better than anything Redsox have.

Miley and Porcello both are solid #2/3 starters and if Clay can live up to his stuff he is a solid 2. The Red Sox rotation is good enough to finish in the top 10 if the starters stay healthy.

They will land Shields or Scherzer (or trade for a guy like Hamels) and then that rotation will fall in line and be pretty formidable

Not sure they need to make another move. They were looking at Viciedo. An Ackley/Viciedo platoon should be serviceable. There were rumors of them looking at Alex Rios as well.

Porcello is a 2/3; Miley's questionable

3 and 4 looks more appropriate... with upside of course. If Porcello missed more bats, he could become a 2, but he doesn't.

Miley is only a season removed from a 3.55 ERA and 200+ innings and he is still young. He is better than questionable, he actually improved his strikeout rate last year as well.
