The only way it'll be entertaining is if Mayweather gets knocked the frick out but we all know that's not happening

Seeing as how Floyd owes the IRS a huge chunk of his purse from this fight, it's not out of the realm of possibility that he takes a dive to set up a rematch. Before I'm chastised for the tin foil hat, remember we are talking about boxing.

Sounds like you've watched exactly 1 mayweather fight.

I don't understand the MSB when it comes to mayweather. This is a predominately LSU/SEC board that jizzes over defense when it comes to football, and talks about how strategic and entertaining it is to watch a good defense, but feels the total opposite way about boxing.

The objective is the same. Score more points than the opponent, Floyd does it by playing defense and attacking when the opponent is tired and vulnerable. I don't get why some of you hate it so much considering the style of football you'd die on the cross over lol.

Because boxing =/= football

No shite, I never said I don't think Floyd is a good fighter, I just don't find his fights entertaining because his defensive style/stick&move approach means it's a lot of 12 round snooze fights.

I'm drawing a comparison between strategies not saying the sports are the same bud

You are comparing sports though.

He owes, doesn't mean he doesn't have the money.

The only thing I compared between the two sports was the objective - to score more points than the opponent. I compared the strategies. Not the sports.

Your average fan isn't going to like Mayweather. If you're promoting something as a fight I want to see a fight. It is impressive that he can do these things to high level fighters, but it's not exciting. I don't want to see someone dodge and jab for 12 rounds.

Just like many fans don't like defensive snooze fests in other sports, doesn't mean you have to try to belittle them for it.

Not interested in this fight in the slightest. The people who buy this are dumbasses.

I would love to do some market research and see how many people say this compared to how many people end up buying it.

With the amount of hype it'll have it's a fantastic excuse to throw a party and have people over.

How is this different than any other fight? He owes damn near 50% to Uncle Sam anyway, what is a few more to pay past bills?

Floyd comes across as such a little bitch to me. "Oh I'll fight in the ring, octagon it don't matter, 10 oz 8 oz or 4oz whatever"

Nah Floyd EVERYONE on the face of this earth knows your arse ain't getting in no cage to fight, and he's been strict on the glove shite for years. Get out of here with that bullshite.

Still think mayweather wins, but I can't stand people like him.

Kickboxing rules would be the best medium ground. But not a chance Floyd would agree to that.

ETA: And he's a fan of kickboxing. He was ringside at one of the Glory events I was watching.

It would completely destroy his defensive style.

His legs would be fricked. But it's more fair than allowing ground attacks.
