Well, so much for the no-hitter.
ETA: And how is he no-hitting his own team anyway?

Intrasquad game?

He's kept his pitch count reasonable today. could go the distance.
Honestly a great discussion could be had as to who is better between Scherzer or Sale.

You know they want to avoid that bullpen at all costs.

No win situation for the Nats...overuse Max now, or use the bullpen and lose

No hitters are played out.

Doesn't Scherzer already have two no-hitters?

I heard this from when Scherzer was in Detroit in 2012 and 2013 that out of all pitchers that the Los Angeles Angels faced even including Kershaw he had the most unhittable stuff
This was when Sale first came in so it must be including him as well

A 3rd no-hitter would have been incredible. How many guys have have 3 or more?
Also he has a 20-strikeout game

think he would have been the 5th player

Two maybe
Koufax and Ryan
I may be wrong
I do not know if he still throws as hard as he once did but his movement is still up there.
Having a fastball in the high 90's that can run in on your hands is next to impossible to make solid contact.
What is his swing and Miss rate compared to Chris Sale this year.

Max Scherzer has made 82 starts as a National. He’s had a no-hitter thru 5 innings 11 times out of those 82.
Just heard this stat in the Padres/Cubs game on MLB Network.
