@jonmorosi: Deal agreed upon: Trumbo and 2 prospects to DBacks, Eaton and possibly 1 prospect to White Sox, Santiago and Skaggs to Angels. @foxsports1

Nice trade for all IMO

Dan Uggla has had a higher OBP than Trumbo each of the last three years

He's closer to a dead man's Goldschmidt that a poor man's Goldschmidt.

True

And has he shown he can play anywhere besides 1B somewhat effectively?

He's been okay in left, but nothing spectacular.

So the DBacks will roll with something like
Pollack 8
Prado 5
Goldschmidt 3
Trumbo 7
Hill 4
Montero 2
Parra 9
Owings 6
I guess

Rotation candidates BMac, Corbin, Miley, Cahill, Hudson, Delgado, and of course Archie Bradley

Not bad, but probably a wild card 2 contender.

Guess they're done for Choo, wonder if Towers (lol) has anything else up his sleeves

Those better be two nice prospects for the DBacks. Nice haul for the Angels, Trumbo is a one trick pony but will be fun to see how many bombs he can launch in the desert.

Two quality rotation candidates for a guy who really had very little trade value

Trumbo's terrible 2nd half will piss me off but at the same time, we can use his power. Prado, Hill, and Goldie are good BA/on base guys so hopefully that offsets Trumbo's poor on base %.

I would've been pissed had we traded Skaggs last year, but not so much at this point. Scouts have backed away a little on him. Great curveball though.

Our GM Kevin Towers is supposed to be targeting a front line starter. I've heard Chris Sale's name pop up the most recently.

We needed power pretty badly, but I still don't know how I feel about this. I wouldn't have minded Choo, but not for 100million.

I was really hoping we could somehow land David Price.

Wishful thinking on their part thinking NL will add DH in the offseason.

As of right now, I think the Angels by far got the best end of this deal.

I know how I'd feel about it. Eaton is much younger, much cheaper, and likely better than Trumbo. Not to mention Kevin Towers sold low on yet another asset of his as well. Skaggs had a bad year, but he's still a solid bet to rebound. Curveball is still there
