Via Scott Bair of CSNBayArea.com, the Raiders owner told the Southern Nevada Tourism and Infrastructure Committee meeting that he was ready to commit $500 million toward a stadium there to bring his team to the desert.

Davis also brought some rhetoric with him, saying Las Vegas: “would not just be getting a football team, they would be getting everyone who has worn the silver and black for the last 56 years.”

Of course, shaking the tree and waiting for the money to fall out isn’t the only problem for Davis, who would still need to convince 23 of his fellow owners to approve a move. But the reaction to Las Vegas has been more positive (or at least less negative) than it has been in the past.

Perfect team to move there of all the possible teams to move there with colors, name, and historical tomfoolery.

Do it Mark.

Love the idea of Raiders to Vegas.

If San Diego gets a new stadium, how long does the NFL let the Rams have L.A. all to themselves (again)?

I'm always skeptical of what the home support would be there, but I guess you'd get a ton of road teams fans.

No reason Vegas shouldn't get a team but Mark Davis will do something stupid and get in deep and some stripper or strip club owner will have control of the Raiders within 5 years.

It's not like the other major sports where you have dozens of home games. It's 10 or less, counting preseason. They will sell out every game.

Mark Davis is a lot smarter than people are giving him credit for. He's just a weird motherfricker.

Doesn't take a genius to make the right decision between:

-Staying in a dump of a stadium
-Getting a brand new stadium for almost nothing

Nm im stupid

The only way SD is getting a stadium is if it gets pushed through on a crooked deal, voters won't approve a public referendum which forces them to pay 2/3s .

They're going to have some smoking hot cheerleaders there and the players are going to take partying to epic new levels.

Part of the league's resistance I would imagine. The NBA All-Star game there was an EPIC disaster.

The amount of dudes on that team failing drug tests will be amazing. They will attract FAs like a motherfricker though.

Imagine Vince Young and Jamarcus Russell in a 5 year deal in Vegas. They'd lay a years wages on the roulette table and lose it all.
