Well, ZBo is top 30 rebounder of all time and has never been able to jump....but

Rebounding is all about jumping. Baseball is more athletic than basketball...and endorsements define superstardom.

Give me gasol over Howard any day because he's an all around player and not a bitch but I would be embarrassed if zbo was the fan favorite of my team. Tpos imo

I literally adressed this earlier saying it has been Boom's excuse to why Dwight didn't get First or 2nd team all NBA and what he will say when the new GM poll is released that says Gasol is the best Center in the league

He scored 17.5 ppg, 3rd highest ppg for a center behind two guys who played on really bad teams and averaged a lot more shots than he did. Those points plus his rare ability to be the focal point of the offense is a pretty solid offensive combination. He can also play at the end of games unlike some centers.

Agreed. But you can pass, score, and rebound. Hakeem did it. Webber did it. Prime Webber was so awesome.

And Gasol isn't as good as those guys. No one claims him to be.

He was 3rd among NBA centers in PER.

and there were 5 right behind within percentage points(less than 1.0) of his mark.

i mean, he doesn't really do anything special to separate himself from the other top centers.

He's probably a star, but no superstar.

part of it. Doesn't define it. You're the only one that doesn't think popularity has nothing to do with superstardom.

Jeremy Lin isn't a superstar. But he does have 2x's the amount of twitter followers than Gasol. Goes to show you Gasol is lacking that part of his game. The bigger problem is he isnt a superstar on the court, though.

Dude the camera is on him of course he's gonna do something like that. Wouldnt be surpised at all if MEM put the kid there just so Randolph could do it on camera. He's still trying to repair his image. Kind of the prodigal son type of thing.

Were his stats more or less empty than DeMarcus Cousins'?

He'd most likely be the first center I would take if I could have my pick. His passing and scoring is pretty unique. He's not a superstar because he's a pretty boring dude and I think that matters to a lot of people. Definitely worth max money, especially to a team that's built like Memphis.

I completely disagree.

There's nothing unique about his scoring.

He's a good player, not a super star.

This was in the middle of the game.

Kid sits there every game. There is a cool scene in on the big NBA ad's during the postseason where it shows Gasol going over to him after a game to give him a hug and high five.

For most NBA centers? Really?

He was voted as a starter in the ASG and was first-team All-NBA. What else does he need to do? Be in some commercials? Seriosuly?

His scoring by itself isn't some amazing trait but his scoring mixed with his passing and bball IQ is unique. Most centers can't do it all at a high level and that's what makes him unique. You have your good scorers like Vucevic and your good passers like Noah but it's rare to combine them.

I think Cousins is the most talented, unique center in the game but he's kind of crazy and he wants to be a power forward so that's why I'd lean Gasol.

Are you serious or just trolling boom? Houston has the most hated player in the NBA on their team.

To be fair the center position is really weak right now, although he is probably the best there is. I'm not sure there is s superstar in that entire positional group.

I wouldn't be surprised if Boogie gets more "best center" GM votes than Howard does this offseason.
