Most people are aware that Manning is closing in on Brees's 54 game touchdown streak. Manning is at 46 games now and can break the record in game 16 of this year.

But there is another TD streak no one has mentioned yet. Manning has just tied the record for most consecutive games with 2+ touchdowns at 13. It was his own record that was also tied by Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers (Brady's and Rodgers's streaks have ended). Manning only has thrown for less than 2 touchdowns once in his last 25 regular season games, going back to 2012. Since joining the Broncos, he has thrown for only 1 touchdown a mere 5 times in 39 games.

Most people won't care about this factoid, but I thought it was interesting. Manning set a record against the 49ers (most TD passes in a career), set a record against the Chargers (most 20+ TD seasons - 16 seasons and running), and can set another record against the Pats (2+ TD pass streak). After 16+ prolific seasons, Peyton is to the point where he is probably going to be setting a new record just about every week. Of course, every time he throws a TD now he sets a new record.

Obviously these streaks are always regular season only. But way to be a dick about it.

I still don't know why Brees' streak didn't stop, as vs Carolina he didn't play therefor no TD.

I hate hearing about all of the Sub-Records. If a guys holds the record for most career TD passes, he'll most certainly own another 20+ TD passing records. These are benchmarks created by ESPN to fill time and provide talking points.

There is an "unofficial" streak of uninterrupted games. Brady has that streak at 52 games with Brees at 43 and Peyton at 39. Peyton's streak is the only one still active.

There is also an "unofficial" record of consecutive regular season and postseason uninterrupted games with a TD pass. Brees has that record at 49 since Brady had a playoff game without a TD pass. Manning is at 43 and counting.

personally, I may have at the time because I'm a saint tard, but any streak not contained within a season is lame...Joe DiMaggio, that's incredible...the patriots in 07, incredible...brees/manning/brady TD streaks, patriots between 03-04...I just don't care

I hate how the stats they accumulate in playoff games just disappears. It should count towards their career numbers.
