I know a guy who's bringing his son there from out of state. I didnt realize it had become so big, but its going on its 20th year. The Mannings even turned down an offer from Disney World to purchase the camp and move it to Florida.

Have any of you attended the camp when in HS? How was it?

Damn, it's that old! I think I went to like the 2nd or 3rd one they put on (at that time) in Hammond. Eil was still in HS and Peyton must have been in year 2 or 3 with the Colts. Time flies!

My experience is probably VERY dated, but I remember the camp being very hands-on with groups led by some of the best college QBs, WRs, and coaches in the region, as well as HS coaches and some Pro QBs. Peyton jumped in and led a drill with our group and try to interact as much as possible. Jake Delhomme was our group leader for the weekend and was a really nice and helpful guy.

Just my two cents: It is probably the very best instruction one can get over the limited course of 3 days. If nothing else, they give you some cool stuff AND you get to interact with some big time coaches/players from college and pro football. It's a memorable experience

I went years 2 through 5 of its existence. It was awesome. Peyton was very approachable, as were all of the coaches. Fun fact - Eli Manning was a fellow camper my first year as he was still in high school. He could not have looked more disinterested. Cooper Manning is hilarious.

The second year, Peyton took us all into a classroom and went through some tape of him with the Colts, showing us exactly what he was looking at and the decisions he made. It was freaking awesome. He had only just completed his rookie year but had clearly learned from his 28 interceptions as he was 2nd team All-Pro the following year and AFC Offensive Player of the Year. For some reason, he never did that again after that, at least not while I was there.

My brother went in 2001. I don't think it benefitted him all that much since our high school only ran the wing t

Delhomme was also my group leader one year. We might have been in the same group. I agree in that he was really nice and helpful. I remember him teaching us the back shoulder throw.

Had a friend that went years ago. He said that there were all kinds of famous QBs- college and pro.

He was disappointed when he got stuck with the QB from Harvard as his leader...he had never heard of him and thought he wasn't any good compared to the 'bigger school' QBs.

That QB was Ryan Fitzpatrick.

My sons have been the last 5 years. During that time frame the caliber of attendees has dropped. There are plenty of kids there that will never play QB at the high school level.

It's still a good camp and a great experience for the kids. Just don't expect to see a lot of potential D1 scholarship kids there.

I was there year 1. Still have my shirt signed by all the mannings! It was more of a 1 day camp back then.

I attended twice back in the early 2000s. It is a great camp and a cool experience for HS kids to get to interact with college and pro players.

I attended going into Junior year of HS when it was moved to Nicholl's and they just had the artificial turf put in.

I had a few different coaches throughout the camp as a receiver. One was Dwayne Bowe (AWESOME), a guy from a smaller school who I spent the most time with and learned the most from and J.T. Curtis's son (didn't want to be there and was probably forced by daddy).

It was a great experience and a cool summer camp at college with hundreds of kids in dorms with no supervision. They gave us all some nice heavy nerf footballs and those made hallway dodgeballs after hours which broke lights and windows but it was a blast. I highly recommend it.

My little brother caught a pass from Peyton, Eli, and talked to Cooper for a bit. I never saw either of them closer than 30 yards

My first year Phil Simms was there. My dad had given me his book on quarterbacking the previous year and I read it. So going through check in, I told Phil Simms "I read your book!" I was 13. He could not care less. I remember thinking, "There is no way he hears that very often. What a dick." Now I'm guessing, in hindsight, he probably ghost wrote the book so was afraid I might ask him a question from it he didn't know the answer to.
