It seems like a hot take now, but wait till teams watch his tape. He might have the strongest arm in football right now. For me he seems more accurate than Watson at this point. Watch his two games against Ok St and Lsu.

He's a good college QB that is the definition of a system QB. I kinda doubt he will even be a 1st round pick even second may be a stretch (honestly I feel like I'm being nice just by saying second is a stretch). Hell, Graham Harrel didn't even get drafted and he put up ridiculous numbers at Tech.

I remember getting his dad's rookie card.
Actually I remember getting the Cub's Turk Wendell rookie card, with Mahomes also on it)

overstated in 2016

everybody pretty much runs what they run

it's not 2001 where nobody was running air raid or run n shoot

He has a lot of potential, don't see him elevating himself that high though

Okay, how many run n shoot qb's have been successful in the NFL?

Deshaun Watson, Brad Kaaya, and Chad Kelly are consensus ahead of him today from what I see. Make your case why he passes him up.

Kelly, I could easily see getting passed up, but then again there is nothing the NFL loves more than legacies.

I remember there being like a 50 page thread after the Texas Bowl about how limpwristed Mahomes was

Watson is a better QB. And I would bet Fournette or Watson go 1 and 2.

I watched most of their games last year. He might be the most effective QB in the conference next season and will almost certainly rack up gawdy air-raid numbers. Don't know what TT returns around him on the roster, but if they start hot and steal some wins he could even creep into the darkhorse Heisman discussion.

But 1st pick?

He probably won't even declare and returns for his Senior year.

I don't think #1

He doesn't look good under pressure. A lot of his best plays are just 1 receiver designed stuff. I woudl have concerns about anyone coming out of a system like that at #1.

Obviously thats a bit nitpicky why he isn't the best prospect. I remember being impressed with him in the bowl game in general.

I also love watching the defense from that game. We are gonna look a lot like that next year. SEC should be scared as frick.

Mahomes is awwwwwwwesome and one of the most entertaining players in CFB. He's also got a better arm than people think of with the standard TT QB, and I absolutely think he'll get drafted higher than some of the Red Raiders' earlier QBs.

However, getting drafted over Watson? Lol please.
