Catholic at 3. Another let down in the post season? I look for them to possibly go undefeated headed into the playoffs and hoping this is the year they put something together for a long run. They've just been the Atlanta Braves of the playoffs over the last few years.

We'll see them against Brother Martin this week.

Interesting that there are two 0-2 teams in the AAA top ten.

Patterson has one loss to Redemptorist, what other school beat them?

HC has 2 close losses to 2 5A schools - Slidell and Jesuit.

I'm assuming you're putting this up because Rummel only has 5 votes? They torched HLB 63-0 in week one and then squeaked by Mandeville 42-41 last week...a Mandeville team that almost beat JC. I think they have a legit argument to be in the top 10...or at least have more votes than Thibodaux.

As for St. Aug, I thought they were ranked too high at the beginning of the season, and I'll stick with that. I think the problem with the LSWA polls is that preseason polls are too much of a crap shoot. Now, what you have are writers that aren't willing to give up on their preseason picks this early.

That's a good point, and about Holy Cross losing to two AAAAA teams is as well. For whatever reason, that escaped me.

This was my case for why they should be higher.

I would take my HS, Scottsdale Chaparral, against any La school this year.

The Mandeville/Curtis score shocked me when I first saw it. And to see that they had the shoot-out with Rummel, I think that Rummel should be top-10 while Mandeville should have a few votes too.

Seriously? I don't think there was anything wrong with his prediction. Looking at that district, HC could very well go undefeated through it.
