In 5A it will come down to Barbe, Jesuit, and Catholic High.

Did Rummel lose a lot from last year or something? I would think they'll be pretty good again, imagine quite a few of the kids from their football team play baseball as well.

Barbe will be tough to beat, but anything can happen in baseball.

Surprised he hasnt moved to one of the Catholic league schools or Barbe. Great players are always moving to Barbe for some reason?

Acadiana has an ACE that will surprise people this year and hes only a junior. Already has scouts from Mets and Red Sox on his nuts they follow him everywhere. He is playing in the very distinguished Under Armour week long tournament in Bradenton, FL later in DEC.

Deridder might be a surprise with everyone back and a very good coach.

Only problem is he's an a-hole and no one...players or parents...can stand him

Rummel lost 15 seniors from last year's team. And historically, the majority of their football and baseball guys concentrate on their respective sport.

Thanks. Knew he signed with LSU but didn't know for sure if he was in the 2012 or 2013 class. He threw a perfect game in the first game of the season last year.

How is this possible when he can't be recruited? Just curious because I hear this all the time along with 6.5 60 times from 14 year olds. Maybe these folks should start posting pictures of their bigfoot encounters as well.

You might be thinking of the previous coach. The current coach is a cool dude, except to umpires and lazy players.

LSU can still back out, as can the players. This kid has a great resume, so he'll likely work out. But I wouldn't place a ton of stock in players committing as sophomores. Lenni Kunnert, a sophomore at Live Oak has also committed to play for LSU. He's also very legit.

Some kids just love LSU. My nephew would commit to LSU right now in 7th grade and never even think about another school if offered.
