St Amant has been nothing but a bitter disappointment so far in the season. Not playing up to their potential. Seems like they can't find any pitchers who can pitch besides Enlow and they can't hit that good and they make too many errors. It isn't looking good for the Gators and hopefully they can get hot once district starts and carry it over to the playoffs because right now they just aren't playing good baseball.

We split the doubleheader losing to Slidell 12-3 and beating Mandeville 11-1... its something how there's no state title contenders on the Northshore in any class. It's weird bc you'd think the demographics would have it be one of the best areas in the state

Oh btw Landry-Walker is 42nd in class 5A... they have work to do to match the legendary Jesuit "all the tricks in '46" year

St Amant is going to piss a high seed off. They'll be seeded low, travel round 1, and throw Enlow. Someone really high is going to get bounced.

someone high, maybe, but really high? Except for Pineville, I'd favor any team in the top 10 against him

Been that way on the Northshore for a while now. Many reasons including not having dominant pitching. A fair number of good players have also gotten fed up with the bad teams over the years and choose to play other sports in the spring instead.

I think so too. Playoffs will be interesting but this team still has the capability to go to the state tournament but they haven't shown it yet. Yes they can make it to the second round because of Enlow but they could make it to the third or fourth round if they play up to their capability

Who is West Monroe's coach this year? I honestly couldn't name one after Shake. And are we any good? It's been a while since I've been to a high school baseball game. Would love to take my son up to ol' Shelby Aulds and let him see my old stomping grounds.

Best team West Monroe has had in a while. If they're going to win it all it's going to be this year

I have been away a decade plus, but I think it La Tech's old head coach?

Simoneaux, his son Thomas, Joey Adams, Ron McBeth, and Brian Carter make up the staff. At least 5 D1 players, likely more in Pearson-LSU, Young-LA Tech, Jones/Biggs-ULL commits sophomores, and Bolden-looking like more of a football guy at the moment with 20 offers although most of those want him to play baseball too. Then you have seniors Booth-Hinds CC signee, Foust-JUCO football signee, and Adams-I believe he signed JUCO football as well, great athlete and LB, and Cupit-can absolutely swing it. You also have senior Bacon in relief. Throw in Dejean-sophomore whose Dad played in the Bigs. Anderson is a very solid middle infielder as well. Far and away WM's most talented team in a long time-maybe ever.

WM won 16-3 tonight over Captain Shreve after being up 16-0 after 2 and emptying the bench. WM hosts Airline Monday.

WM beats Airline 4-3 on a walk off single by LSU signee Jacob Pearson. WM moves to 14-2 on the year. WM will play Ruston in a 3 game series this week. Wednesday and Friday at WM, Thursday at Ruston.

OU812 - apparently, Troy's son is the ace. I'm going to go watch him pitch soon.

we beat Higgins 2-0 tonight to move to 4-0 in district 8-5A... remember the name Kobe Cazes... he has a couple of impressive complete game wins now for us, and your state title contender in round 1 of the playoffs may be next
