Has there ever been a more cruel sport to the state than this sport? I mean LSU and Saints Football are king in LA, we know that.

The (Hornets)Pelicans were on the cusp in 08 to reaching the western conference finals and LSU Basketball reached the final four in 2006.

That's pretty much the only achievements as of late for these programs.

In 2011 the Saints and LSU had the best teams either school/franchise had ever seen and we lost on the last play of the conference championship game (to a team that went on to beat a team we beat by like 100 pts) and the other team lost in the championship game to a team we had already beaten. This isnt even the cruelest a sport has been to THIS state.

Unless the Pels get some better players and maybe a better coach, they aren't going to improve. I would be really surprised to see Monty get fired. They have to get some better players. The current players love Monty. No way they fire him after the surge to the playoffs. I know last night was a tough pill, but they are getting swept by the best team in the league. Its not like they are getting beat by the blazers.
