I know it is still NCAA time (go cats), but does anyone want to talk ponies?

Ponies are just mini horses

Ponies are completely different than mini horses.

Either way neither of them are real horses.

Turf is going to be soft to yeilding and only stakes on. Hope they are working on the main track all day

I like Albano because I've had him in the last 2, but hate his draw. Gonna probably see how the track plays.

Kinda hope wildcat red can pull it off again in the Florida derby since his dad stands in Louisiana now. Gonna study to forms after dinner.

Btw, the track washed out BAD today, so they are going to have to do some serious work on it.

Go Cards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as far as horse racing goes, I always pick the darkest colored horse in the race.

I don't often win though

Ummmm, none if that cards nonsense in here.

Pitino doesn't have a horse in the race this year.

In Trouble and Rise up are good bets for the money.

Aspy , I have 2 Oaks Tickets to sell 150 each. Sec 227. Let me know if you know anyone that may need them.

Will do.

We may be running on oaks and derby day or we may be running both at keeneland. Unsure for now. Either way, I'm happy to get back home for a few days.

It doesn't hurt that Rosie gets first call on good horses

She's awesome, though.

I am intrigued by in trouble, especially if speed is holding. Gutsy race last time in New York.

Yes. But thanks to Churchill's (they are NOT my favorite) stupid points system, these minor derbies are pretty damn important now.

As shitty of a job as they are doing actually running the fairgrounds, they took care of their own and made the la derby much more relevant.

And hell, as far as Florida goes, a grade 1 is a grade 1 and can make a stallion

I'll go with Gold Hawk, Vicar and intense Holiday tribox. Gonna be a rough track tomorrow if this rain doen't end early.

I've bet gold hawk in the last two. Maybe I learned my lesson with dropping golden soul last year at the ky derby

I've instructed the husband to keep me updated with what they do to it tomorrow.

Also, the into mischief's seem to be able to stretch a bit early, but eventually are better around a mile, IMO

I'm leaning the same way but replace Gold Hawk with Albano...

Worried about the track conditions though, another strong band will be moving through later

Yep.

Sunbean is taking a crack in the fair grounds handicap.

Let me in is AE in the crescent city derby. Asking a lot if he draws in from the 14 hole, but he's going to be a nice one. Any Given Saturday la bred.

I'm just proud because my husband picked him out at the sale
