Most of the ESPN talking heads are all over Dan for his criticism of the Lakers hiring Magic and now he is having to defend himself.

Who's criticizing him? Magic's buddies? The difference in Magic coverage on the internet vs ESPN is pretty funny.

I don't like Lebatard but it is really ludicrous. His opinion had nothing to do with race, and the ESPN kiss-asses love Magic and are giving him a blind pass.

However, Dan's race-baiting chickens are coming home to roost, so it is kind of comical.

I was going to say the same thing

If you turn on ESPN, both he and Jeanie are being harald as the saviors of the franchise while literally everyone else is on the far other end of the spectrum

It had nothing to do with race. But Dan deserves this more than anybody.

If this was anyone but him he would say,

"BUUUT LISTEN , Listen Stugotz. I said listeeeeennn. I am not saying the white people who dont like the Magic hire are raaaciisssttsss. I am just saying their notions of not liking it is because Magic is a black man. Just lissssttteeeenn."

It is ridiculous. They are taking a small snippet of his argument and running with it. Wilbon went on a twitter rant and it is obvious he didn't actually listen to Lebatard's argument.

but it is hilarious that Dan is feeling the "everything must be about race" fall on him as he makes so many things about race.

That Magic has basically shucked & jived his way to success?

I wonder was Lebatard this passionate about Jim Buss's qualifications before he managed to steer the Lakers to the worst 4 year run in its existence. Then saddle the organization with the toxic Deng/ Mosgov contracts ( 4 /$136 mil).

He brings up a failed talk show from 25 years ago to bolster his point & some claim Magics proven record as an Executive is irrelevant to him being an Executive( He's helping with the Basketball,Business & PR side).

Unlike his Papi & Jim Buss Magic doesn't need Nepotism nor shucking & jiving to get ahead.

He absolutely, positively, did NOT say that. That was repeated by some race baiting a-hole on ESPN but he didn't say that.

He said Magic used his charm and fame to get a job he isn't qualified for. Which is true.

Which is the same thing he's said about guys like John Lynch.

He seemed to have a revelation during the show today. He said he now understands how white folks must feel when they try to question anyone of another race.

I'm sure he'll forget this lesson the next time he needs to drum up ratings.

I think this is hilarious because a. I 100% agree with dan's take on the matter and b. Dan's getting a taste of his own medicine

He isn't that bad. Then again, some of you need something to overly complain about. Especially when it involves ESPN.
