Now that was a masterful drive for a team like Oregon to run out the clock and end the game.

Anyone remember the Steelers-Broncos opener this year?

The Steeler had the football for 2 drives in the 3rd Q and only let the Broncos have 2 plays

On 12/16/91, the Saints had an opening drive leading to a Morten Andersen field which lasted over 12 minutes.

Auburn ran every play of the 3rd quarter vs s. cackalacky in 2006

and then SC held it for pretty much all of the 4th, from what I remember.

We had a very long drive to end the Ole Miss game in 2000, I believe.... and UK in 2010.

But that was on two possessions, not one.

Seems like I remember Miami in the biggest game of the year having a 22 play, 17 minute drive to open the 2nd half against Notre Dame in 1989. On the drive they converted a 3rd and 36 or something.

Someone correct my memory as I 'm sure all the details are not perfect.
