Crazy game but this sort of sucks for us against Japan (which looks great) if both teams have to exhaust their best pitchers just to make it out of this game.

When the pitcher who started the inning was taken out because he reached his pitch limit the announcer said something like " he will be playing shortstop tomorrow when they play Japan." He may have spoke to soon.

The starters were fine.
Japan has a total ace who is starting tomorrow.
They are just typically disciplined, don't make mistakes - take advantage of your mistakes, wait for their pitch and get on base and score run after run...with a few home run hitters.
US would just have to ding it out of the park all day to beat them
