Looks like they have agreed with Curry just in case Stafford doesn't accept the deal on the table for him.

Could it just be more posturing to get Stafford's number down?

If they do take Curry, how far could Stafford/Sanchez fall?

Stafford to 4 with Seahawks I think.

Sanchez not so sure

I think regardless of the situation Sanchez doesn't get past 8-9, somebody will trade up to get him.

eta: I also don't know if another LB is a luxury the Lions can really afford, I think you just take Smith and see if Culpepper is any good, because you're going to be picking real high again next year no matter what and you can get a QB then.

They should be taking Curry anyway. A more complete and better player you will not find in this draft.

Jason Smith disagrees

/honestly though I would put Curry and Smith at 1a and 1b.

You don't think Smith has the potential to be an elite LT in this league?

I think he is much better than Jake Long last year

he's not an elite LT prospect in a good year, and i was speaking in terms of being a player

People forget Jake Long gave up one sack his college career. That was to a first round pick.

Jason Smith isn't on that level.

Curry>Smith

LT>>>>OLB

Jake Long was such a good LT prospect people kept saying that he would probably make an even better RT.

TV analysts did. Bill Parcells knew a little bit more about it though.

I should clarify that

3-4 Rush OLB is a franchise position too.

4-3 OLB is not.

maybe so

but i'd rank it last behind QB, LT, and maybe CB as far as franchise positions go
