Saw Curtis play last week and they looked very average. Riverside on the other hand dominate.
Calvary and Byrd should be a good game. I see Calvary winning.

Is it just one poll for the whole state? I'm curious where they have Evangel. I saw Curtis and Evangel were 1-2 in 5A or in D1. Evangel lost their QB and some others on offense but they return all starters on their all world D I believe. Can't wait till Cotton gets on campus.

I take it that the Southern Lab ranking doesn't take recent events and firings / suspensions into account.

They have a good coach, money for facilities, and magnet program for getting players.

Landry Walker has been their worse enemy so far this game.
Two big plays on 3rd down on that first drive for Curtis; missed extra point; and then kickoff coverage.
Outside that LW has truly dominated the line of scrimmage for the most part the entire game.
The Cargo kid will be their starting quarterback the rest of the way. They still have some filthy weapons on the outside and look very good.
Curtis.... Is just Curtis. Well coached and doesn't do much to beat themselves, ever.

Both those programs have been down the last couple of years. That team Calvary had last year was real bad and so was Byrd's. I expected that game to be competitive.

Calvary wasn't bad last year, going to the 3rd round in the playoffs. Byrd most definitely was awful with a 3-7 record. I agree.

Riverside was up 21-0 at the end of the first quarter. The game went into a lightning delay. I was told by someone on staff at Riverside that Lab was playing all players because they have not been given a list of who is officially ineligible by the LHSAA.
